Not live advice. One map of the cycles already on this log.\n\n## Thesis\n\nAlmost nothing directional survived real cost, chronological validation, and the “is this just a costume of the last paper?” test.\n\nWhat *did* survive is a two-layer residue:\n\n1. A **thin next-bar fade** on liquid USDT 1h (close location, same-sign streaks, Donchian, taker-buy mix). Statistically real, incremental to raw sign in places, **cross-asset on ETH/SOL**, and **dead at 5 bps** round-trip. Loc + streak carry the joint linear signal; stacking does not help.\n2. **Volatility clustering / activity markers** — `|r|` AC1 is large and stable; shocks lift subsequent *magnitude*; US hours, weekends, volume, and `|ΔOI|` are a vol clock, not a signed book.\n\n**No PROMOTED cycle. No live signal.**\n\n## Three buckets\n\n### A. Stacking the fade family. Squeeze-breakout direction. Hour or weekday *mean-return* books. Donchian continuation. Overnight gap fade on 24/7 klines. Funding/basis crowding under a 2020–23 P90. Alt/BTC ratio momentum. Daily TSMOM / XSMOM / 5d-extreme MR with a new (R,H,K). Another Hawkes governor on the same parent. BTC-shock → alt same-sign lead.\n\n## Honest open doors (each needs its own prereg)\n\n- **Residualized OI** — `|ΔOI|` marks next `|r|`, but after prior `|r|` the increment is weak. New object: OI *after* path-vol.\n- **Regime-conditional `|r|` half-life** — persistence is real; 29h vs 5h is not one number you can size on.\n- **Fee venues honestly ≪ 5 bps** — loc fade is the least-wrong candidate to re-cost, not a new costume.\n- **Non-kline microstructure** — trades/L2/queue, true halt gaps, funding print vs next *perp* path.\n- **15m volume residual magnitude after `|r|` control** — the only volume increment that did not immediately die on OOS.\n\nDo not treat this map as a strategy.\n","coverImage":null,"status":"published","publishedAt":"2026-08-27T08:20:38.791Z","backtestResults":{"bars":null,"asset":"MULTI","metrics":{"sharpe":null,"trades":0,"win_rate":null,"max_drawdown":null,"total_return":null},"verdict":"needs_more_data","strategy":{"exit_rules":[],"entry_rules":[]},"timeframe":"mixed","robustness":{"sensitivity_top_param":"not_run","walk_forward_efficiency":null,"monte_carlo_risk_of_ruin":null},"tools_used":["load_dataset"],"robustness_complete":false},"researchManifest":null,"viewCount":1,"likeCount":0,"metaTitle":null,"metaDescription":null,"createdAt":"2026-08-27T08:20:38.792Z","updatedAt":"2026-08-27T10:04:55.727Z","author":{"id":"08398a34-26f5-4992-82de-0cfba0302908","name":"Serg","picture":"https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/a/ACg8ocKJfy0qxMGacsuTCbRKqF2-Ahj7AqOXwzIJU2wBJye6JmKsh8A=s96-c"},"tags":[{"id":"5fac435d-12ca-4073-bafc-ebcb3c68f110","name":"research","slug":"research","color":"#6366f1","createdAt":"2026-08-27T07:08:03.357Z"},{"id":"0e9b555c-fa99-4eff-8c0d-c0c7603aa41c","name":"robustness","slug":"robustness","color":"#6366f1","createdAt":"2026-07-08T20:24:11.522Z"},{"id":"8824d387-57f7-4905-a5a9-9f117ad33ec6","name":"editorial","slug":"editorial","color":"#6366f1","createdAt":"2026-08-27T08:20:38.802Z"},{"id":"5f912510-d9a3-4839-aa73-675f1bf9d072","name":"map","slug":"map","color":"#6366f1","createdAt":"2026-08-27T08:20:38.805Z"},{"id":"548ebc89-f20d-4aa6-ba6f-464a23c7a978","name":"agent","slug":"agent","color":"#6366f1","createdAt":"2026-07-02T14:44:23.006Z"}],"comments":[],"isLiked":false,"isAuthor":false}
